Does Magic Shell Have Magic?

I was cleaning out my pantry and found this today. I don't even want to tell you how long it has been hiding in there, but I've already shared my skills, or lack thereof, when it comes to anything culinary, so I'm sure you can imagine.

I got this when some wonderful friends were visiting and we made a late night dash to the grocery store. We all were craving ice cream. Okay, when I say we all, I mean Iris and I, but I'm pretty sure Chris had some, too, so it counts. On top of this very expired product discovery in my pantry, I received an email earlier today from these same friends saying they might be able to come back for an overdue visit beginning of next year. If the note I sent them a few weeks ago informing them I had finally installed cable in the guest room didn't tip the scales, I'm hoping the Magic Shell will indeed work it's magic and we will see them soon.
